Epitaph for a Lap-Dog

We hear that the following Epitaph was lately inscribed upon the Tombstone of a favourite Lap-Dog, who was hang’d for several Misdemeanors.

Beneath this Stone lies poor Fidelle,
Who by a Rope untimely fell.
Ye
Curs, who frown upon the Great,
Be wise, and shun her hapless Fate.
